This presentation will detail and discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic imposed work strategies (distancing, lack of resources, procurement, etc.) on the construction industry. Ahmed will further discuss how COVID-19 and the relevant Governmental decrees have impacted project progress. The presentation will also explain the difference between traditional Force Majeure situations and why the pandemic does not fall into this category, highlighting the limitations imposed on contracting parties, and what each party has had to do to minimize related disputes. Audience questions and discussions regarding their own COVID-19 contract impacts will take place during or immediately following the presentation.
