Here we look at amazing green building projects from around the world.
Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex (ISEC) can be seen at Northeastern University’s Boston campus to the south of a major rail corridor. This seven-story structure stands amongst historic New England style buildings and busy roadways. Inside it holds a state of the art laboratories and educational space with a central skylit area for socialization and studies. All of which are managed by a strict energy conservation and natural ventilation system. In addition that satisfies all laboratory safety requirements in a minimally energy-intensive way. On the outside this facility brings a glimpse of nature back into this historic city in a way. Similarly that educates and inspires the builders of our future.

Objectives

- Analyze each measure of sustainable design through project specific examples.
- Identify and understand some of the strategies employed. This is to achieve the sustainability goals set out for the project.
