Astrology and projects have one thing in common, prediction and fortune telling. While astrology is “the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial objects as a means of divining information about human affairs and terrestrial events.”, Project Management Astrology is defined as “the relative position of various indices depicting project performance and the prediction about future performance deduced from current status”. As a program or project manager, one has to use various metrics to infer the future project trends based on the past trends. There are many metrics referred by various bodies such as National Defense Industry Association, Defense Contract Management Agency etc. These metrics supplemented by earned value metrics in relation provide very useful information about the future trend of the project. While Astrology is referred in the paper and a framework is created based on South Indian Style horoscope, the author does not endorse “Traditional Astrology” being practiced as alternative to scientific management of capital projects
