What is GBRI about?

The ESG Workshop offered by GBRI is a one-day interactive training session designed for students and professionals who want to deepen their understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. It is intended as a follow-up to their Climate Change Workshop and aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to integrate ESG principles, occupant wellness strategies, safety practices, and green building standards into their projects.

The workshop focuses on ESG frameworks and standards, emphasizing the critical aspects of health and safety. Participants will learn how to implement robust safety practices while incorporating green building principles aligned with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. The program highlights the importance of creating sustainable, healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible building environments that prioritize the well-being of occupants while aligning with ESG and green building objectives.

Attending both the Climate Change Workshop and the ESG Workshop provides a comprehensive learning experience that connects climate action with sustainable building practices. The first workshop, the Climate Change Action Workshop : New York City is influenced by GBRI‘s renowned “Climate Change Ambassador Program.” The second workshop, the ESG Workshop, specifically focuses on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations in sustainable practices.

The Climate Change workshop offered by GBRI goes beyond a surface-level understanding of the global challenge. Inspired by GBRI’s renowned “Climate Change Ambassador Program,” this hands-on workshop aims to empower participants to take meaningful action and become part of the solution.

Participants can attend the Climate Change workshop and, if desired, the ESG workshop the following day. They can also extend their stay in New York City for a weekend to explore landmarks and visit LEED and WELL certified buildings. Accommodation options are available throughout the city, and early booking is recommended.
